Digital Terrain Model (DTM) & Elevation Analysis

Highlight Project | LaoEarth Geospatial Engineering

Fast • Accurate • Efficient 3D Reality Capture for Engineering, Mining, Construction & Infrastructure

Project Overview

Handheld SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping)
is an advanced mobile LiDAR technology that captures millions of laser
measurements while continuously tracking the scanner’s position,
delivering accurate three-dimensional spatial data in real time.

✓ Millions of Laser Points
✓ Real-time Position Tracking
✓ No GPS or Tripods Required
✓ Engineering-grade Accuracy

Unlike conventional surveying methods, Handheld SLAM enables rapid
mapping of complex, confined, and GPS-denied environments while
producing dense point clouds for measurement, terrain analysis,
and digital mapping.

LaoEarth delivers complete geospatial solutions including 3D point
clouds, terrain models, orthophotos, engineering mapping, and digital
twins for infrastructure, construction, mining, and industrial projects.

Digital Terrain Model (DTM) & Elevation Analysis

Overview

The LiDAR point cloud was processed into a high-resolution Digital Terrain Model (DTM), representing the bare-earth surface after removing vegetation and other above-ground objects. The elevation model provides accurate terrain information for engineering analysis, infrastructure planning, and environmental assessment.

Digital Elevation Model (DEM)

Terrain Analysis

The collected point cloud was processed into a Digital Elevation Model (DEM), providing accurate elevation information for terrain analysis, drainage assessment, engineering design, and infrastructure planning.
